INTERNATIONALITY LETTER
Our school is bigger than the world. Every child has the right to experience childhood in its entirety.
Wholeness of time, of opportunities, of discoveries, of meaningful learning, and of powerful relationships.
Inspired by Reggio Emilia, we offer a space where children have the right to play, imagine, explore, and learn.
Therefore, Educação Infantil at Sant'Anna International School, based on the four pillars of Education: learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be, defends the culture of childhood.
Thus, there is an immeasurable dedication in welcoming the children to our school. There is constant observation and reflection on pedagogical practices, exchange of experiences among professionals, elaboration of ideas, and organization of consistent actions based on principles and values expressed with clarity and care.
The welfare of the child and the partnership with the families is of utmost importance to us all. As Paulo Freire wrote: “School is above all people, people who work, who study, who are happy, who know and esteem each other.”
We believe that! Our school is bigger than the world because it is also made of people.

Sant’Anna Baby receives children starting at 1 year and a half of age until 2 years and eleven months. At this age, the discoveries are infinite and, because everything is new for them, the children still have nap time, respecting the routine.
All materials and food are included in the tuition! For those in the morning class, we have some options to extend your child's stay at school, either through Sant'Anna Care (extra hours), Plus (full program), or Daily (full, a few times a week).
The Ensino Fundamental Anos Iniciais course is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 10. In this period of life, children are experiencing important changes in their development process that have repercussions in their relationships with themselves, others, and the world.
Therefore, we work to expand their interactions with the environment and experience multiple languages (art, social-emotional, and body language), always considering the social use of knowledge. We also recognize that this is a moment of identity construction and, for this reason, we highly value the social relationships established at school and in the community.
It is also during this phase that the student begins to develop his or her responsibilities as a student. That is why our pedagogical proposal aims to develop in each student the interest in acquiring knowledge and the joy of sharing with classmates and teachers their learning and achievements.
For this reason, the space and time for students in the school is organized in such a way as to favor constant dialog, the search for understanding facts and information, questions and research as contents present in all classes. Working in groups is an integral part of our proposal and brings an expanded look at diversity.

As for that in the Fundamental Anos Finais, teenagers participate with a bigger sense of criticism implied into diverse communicative situations, we begin to broaden even more this autonomy which has been conquered, so that interactions between the community can flow with freedom, responsibility, and mutual sense of tolerance. This transition not only allows bigger independence, but also the deepening of related knowledge into the different areas of learning.
With the ascension of their protagonism, students from Ensino Fundamental Anos Finais, participate in programs that integrate 6ºs, 7°s, 8°s and 9ºs Anos, as the House Challenge Project, containing the fundamental structure for citizenship acquisition. Life Project also takes part into our curriculum, with the mission to prepare students for the socioemotional challenges that may arise in their teenage years.
In this segment, our pedagogical team elaborates the learning process with activities that work in favor of autonomy and development of critical thinking, aligned with collaborative work: we need to think of our students as members of a community, capable of not only receiving from it, but also cooperating with its improvement, conscious of it rights and obligations, and habile to deal with conflictive situations.
To mold our students into people that value autonomy and empathy, can only be possible if, since Fundamental Anos Finais, they gain access to this experience.

The decision-making process for the right school to graduate from your Ensino Médio is of great concern for parents and the students themselves, once this phase of their academical life approaches, students begin to envision their future from a new perspective, feeling the obligation and right to participate in this decision, as the protagonists of their own existence. Such concern has gained yet another layer, taking into consideration the changes proposed by the Common Curriculum Nacional Base.
In Sant'Anna International School, this choice is clear in the sights of our student's horizons: here, they find excellent infrastructure and capable teachers, armed with a vast curriculum, including experience when working with teenagers.
By daily pedagogical actions, we value the work with abilities imposed in each area and socioemotional skills (work and life project, argumentation, self knowledge and self care, empathy and cooperation, responsibility and citizenship), giving continuation to the integral process of formation, which was initiated in Ensino Fundamental.
The system of evaluations constructs an environment where it is necessary for students to have a constant study integrated in their routine, through monthly simulados (since 1º série do Ensino Médio) and differentiated workload, to ensure requirements for global values and acceptance at the best universities.
The focus of Ensino Médio goes way beyond vestibular in which is a specific transition part of a major process, or better said: the pedagogical proposal made by the school indulges not only the adaptation into the college and university world, but also in the work world, adulthood.
Ensino Médio Diurno | |
Monday to Thursday | 7:20 AM to 3:30 PM |
Friday | 7:20 AM to 12:50 PM |
Through daily pedagogical actions, teachers in the Ensino Médio Noturno promote together with the students the dedication into the search for knowledge.
This way, our learner develops the capacity to interpret and articulate information, besides learning to deal with the facts that surround him, interacting as an active member in the society in which one lives. To prepare teenagers for their professional life or the challenge which is vestibular have been major motivational factors in favor of high quality classes and activities proposed to our students.
By nature, the nocturnal period also attends to the needs of working students. Classes have a schedule from 7:00 PM until 10:40 PM, it also offers flexibility for Physical Education classes, inside the student’s availability, and interacts directly with charity institutions in favor of the community, without leaving aside academic excellence and professional opportunities inside the institution.
